Na de oprichting, in Den Haag, van het Koerdisch Parlement in Ballingschap werd hij in de raderen van de wereldpolitiek vermalen. Wetenschapsfilosoof Rein Gerritsen laat zien hoe een Turks-Nederlandse politie-eenheid bewijs vervalste, waarna criminologen, vertalers, rechters, raadsheren en politici in het web van leugens verstrikt raakten. Het voorwoord bij deze biografie is geschreven door een aantal gevangenisdirecteuren. Zij verzetten zich openlijk – heel ongebruikelijk voor ambtenaren – tegen Baybasins onterechte opsluiting.
Rein Gerritsen (1959) studeerde wijsbegeerte, natuurkunde en theoretische psychologie aan de Universiteit Utrecht. Hij is al jaren actief als wetenschapsfilosoof, vertaler en schrijver. Hij publiceerde eerder onder meer het boek James en vertaalde William James’ boek Pragmatism.
Dit boek werd gepresenteerd in Pakhuis de Zwijger op 13 september 2022. Sprekers waren onder meer hoogleraar wetenschapsfilosofie Ton Derksen, advocaat Adèle van der Plas, gevangenisdirecteur Frans Douw en natuurlijk auteur Rein Gerritsen zelf. Tevens betrad een aantal Koerdische politici en wetenschappers het podium.

Philip Van Kerrebroeck is an urologist and professor emeritus of Urology at the University of Maastricht. Born in Leuven (Belgium), he trained in Surgery and Urology in Brussels, Utrecht, Nijmegen and San Francisco. Over the years, he has also developed an interest in the history of urology and cultural anthropology. He is currently chairman of the History Office of the European Association of Urology (EAU).
