Volgens politie, Justitie en enkele rechters heeft hulpverlener annex butler Van Leeuwerden zijn vermogende opdrachtgeefster vergiftigd. Hij zou dat hebben gedaan met extreem sterke rum. Kort daarvoor was hij, terwijl hij homoseksueel was, met haar getrouwd.
De zaak oogt verdacht, maar wat zijn de feiten? De rum was, in tegenstelling tot wat het Openbaar Ministerie betoogt, niet bijzonder sterk. Het alcoholpercentage in het bloed was te laag om aan dood te gaan. Er is dus geen moordwapen en geen bewijs van een moord. Het staat intussen wel vast dat Van Leeuwerden heel zorgzaam was voor zijn opdrachtgeefster. Is het dan niet logisch dat zij geld aan hem wilde nalaten? En was de keuze voor een huwelijk daarbij niet ook logisch?Ton Derksen is emeritus hoogleraar wetenschapsfilosofie aan de Radboud Universiteit. Cees Buisman studied water purification engineering, in addition to business administration, communication theory and applied integral psychology. Throughout his life he has worked on new environmental technologies, which are used in industry all over the world. His scientific work is highly cited. Buisman is the Director of Wetsus – European Center for Sustainable Water Technology, and Professor at Wageningen University, in the Netherlands.
