Sprookjes uit de Friese Wouden is een vertaling van het boek Mearkes út ‘e Wâlden, dat in 2014 verscheen in het kader van ‘100 jaar Dam Jaarsma’. Het boek is bedoeld voor jong en oud. Het is geen wetenschappelijk uitgave (al wordt de tekst aan het eind wel verantwoord voor specialisten en geïnteresseerden) maar een prachtig lees- en voorleesboek, dat bovendien een postume hommage is aan Dam Jaarsma.
